Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients
- 250g Butter
- 100g Dark Chocolate
- 500g Caster Sugar
- 65g Cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1 tbs. Vanilla Extract
- 4 Eggs
- 165g Plain Flour
- 100g Macadamia Nuts, Halved
- 300g Milk Chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C.
- Line a 10x14” baking pan with parchment and lightly grease.
- In a medium saucepan over a low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the dark chocolate until also melted, stirring slowly. Increase the heat, add the sugar and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour into a large mixing bowl.
- Beat in the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, vanilla and eggs until combined.
- Stir in the flour until combined.
- Stir in the macadamia nuts.
- Chop the milk chocolate into chunks and fold into the mixture.
- Spread batter into baking pan and cook for 24 minutes.
- Set aside to cool briefly, then lift out using the baking parchment and place onto a cooling rack. Once cooler, cut into squares and refrigerate.
